Andaman & Nicobar Islands : This union territory (UT) is situated between 6° - 14° North Latitude and 92° - 94° East Longitude. It comprises of a group of over 572 lush green, golden beached tropical islands / islets, streching about 750 Kms. from north to south in the Bay of Bengal. Out of these, 36 are inhabited islands including 24 in the Andaman district and 12 in the Nicobar district. These are being developed and are the major tourist centres.
